Favoring creativity and personal expression over grammar and mechanics, this class creates a safe space for students to explore and imitate various genres of literature, create their own original individual pieces of writing, and contribute to group pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Students respond to weekly journal prompts, learn various writing techniques and genres, build a portfolio of original pieces, and present a project at the end of the semester.
