This course is designed as a one year study of the history of our nation with a biblical worldview. Starting with early exploration and working our way through modern times we’ll explore the triumphs, defeats, mistakes and successes that each generation faced. With the text as a spine and a strong emphasis on critical thinking methods, we’ll examine the facts, theories and mysteries that make up our fascinating history. We’ll utilize timelines, maps, articles, documents, writing assignments, class discussion and debate to make each of the eight eras of our nation’s history come alive.

The text we use is BJU United States History 4th edition

Prerequisite:  9th grade and up, must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in Elements of Composition & Literature
