Physics
Science
This is a college-prep physics course designed for the student who has completed algebra 1 and geometry and has had an introduction to the definitions of sine, cosine, and tangent. It provides a detailed introduction to the methods and concepts of general physics, heavily emphasizing vector analysis.
Spanish II
Language
In the course of 30 weeks, the student will enlarge and expand everyday vocabulary, learn more verbs, become more proficient in the use of past, present and future tenses, and the refine the use of grammar and syntax. I will continue to emphasize Spanish as a means of sharing the gospel.

Pre-Algebra

Robotics Club

The Cornerstone Robotics Club serves to expose students to fundamental mechanics and electronics concepts through hands-on learning with robotics. Grammar & Language Arts

This class is a complete language arts course consisting of instruction in composition, grammar and mechanics, reading comprehension, and literature.
Composition and Research
English
Composition and Research will focus on the writing process. Students will complete several writing assignments throughout the course of the year, and their assignments will derive from class discussion, observation, and non-fiction prose.
Elements of Composition and Lit

This course lays a foundation for analyzing literature and for writing effectively. The literature is presented in a genre approach. We start with short stories and examine setting, plot, conflict, point of view, irony, suspense, and symbols.
American Literature

We will read 90% of the text book, omitting only The Red Badge of Courage. I supplement the text with novels that reinforce the themes and style of the various periods.
