Project Description

Charles (Chas.) Cade

Received an AA from Monroe Community College and a BS from SUNY @ Geneseo.  In his senior year at Geneseo, he came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour.  This led to a change in direction which meant attending a mission’s school in Illinois and then going to Bogota, Colombia as a student missionary to study in the Universidad Javeriana, where he obtained a Certificado de Proficiencia en Espanol.  In Colombia he met Lydia and after their marriage, they continued as missionaries but in Belgium.  Chas. obtained a diploma in French from the Alliance Francaise.  Upon their return from Belgium, they spent a year in Mexico and then came to reside in Colmar Manor, MD, where they have worked full time in their church as well as raising and homeschooling their seven children.  Chas. worked as a substitute teacher in the PG County school system for a few years and taught Spanish literature full time for one semester.  He worked with the homeschoolers at Bolling AFB (now Bolling Joint Command) for 12 years.  He has taught both Spanish and French at Cornerstone and enjoys working with the young people, not just in instructing them in foreign languages, but also in seeking to instill in them a love for sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
