Graduated from the Moody Bible Institute with a diploma in foreign missions. After earning liberal arts credits toward a Bachelor’s degree at Wayne State University, she went to Colombia, South America as a missionary where she earned her licenciatura (degree) in early childhood education from the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga. After marrying Chas. Cade, she continued working as a missionary first in Belgium, then in Mexico, and eventually in the Washington DC area. She and Chas. homeschooled their seven children for over 25 years. Additionally Lydia has taught classes of high school Spanish (levels 1 – 4) and SAT prep. Lydia has been a tutor for children needing remedial help in a wide variety of subjects. At the high school level, that has primarily been in math including Geometry and SAT Prep at Cornerstone.
